I share how I use AI tools like Breyta to explore layered insight questions, speed up my synthesis process, and deliver more actionable research without replacing critical thinking (or myself)
Also, it’s interesting what you said about it being actionable. The last survey I ran the client didn’t complain, but I personally felt we had very little that we could take action on afterwards and that was troubling considering how much cost and effort goes into surveys. We primarily run moderated testing, but for now I’ve got unmoderated on the brain! I think from now on I’m going to look at each question and ask myself— how might we take action on this?
really awesome question to ask, it makes a HUGE difference - you can even ask that for moderated testing too to make sure your research is as pointed, specific, and actionable as possible :D
I’d love to see how you put a report together from this! This is all very helpful. :) I’m the only User Research Strategist at my company so seeing someone else’s process is gold for me! I’m also curious how folks analyze survey data as there is so much more data to sift through.
Your screen share didn't pick back up after your "appointment" so we can't see the AI results - just hear your description about them. So disapointing as this is super helpful!!
oh my goodness, im so sorry. i absolutely hate technology. i hope that the information is still helpful as there is unfortunately nothing i can do to fix this at this point :(

i'll happily showcase a report, putting it on my to-do list! and i'll also showcase a survey as well, that's already on my to-do list too!
Do you already have any info/content on how you analyze survey data in your user research academy?
Not yet! It's coming up though :)
Are you able to share an example of a transcript? I’d love to see how you’ve structured it because I suspect it is helping you get the best results.
Hi Gemma - you can check out a sample tagged transcript here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6u2tgx4s5k4j0urkth2pr/p2_notes_nikki.xlsx?rlkey=tmjpvacdt7yo7f9g9avb0odgq&st=ur039qr1&dl=0
This is how I've written my notes/transcribed for years, so you will see the transcription and then tags that I tend to use :)

Actually yes! I love your layered approach to asking quesitons - so I'll definitly be studying that and figuring out how to implement.
